Petrified Forest National Park, located in northeastern Arizona, contains a wonderful collection of fallen tree fossils that lived in the Late Triassic period, around 225 million years ago. Other fossils in the park include plants, reptiles, amphibians and early dinosaurs. Petroglyphs have also been discovered in the park.
