Fool Hollow State Recreation Area
Located two miles north of US 60 off Highway 260 sits the beautiful 150 acre Fool Hollow Lake. The area is home to one of the nation's tallest stands of ponderosa pine with trees above 100 feet tall. Fishing opportunities are abundant with rainbow trout, brown trout, large and small mouth bass, black crappie, green sunfish, channel catfish and walleye are all present in the lake. Fort Apache Indian Reservation
Covering 1.6 million acres, this reservation is one of the more prosperous in the country. The White Mountains boast 26 lakes and 400 miles of trout streams. The town of Whiteriver holds regular rodeos and roping contests. Come around Labor Day and you're invited to the Apache Tribal Fair.

Sunrise Ski Area
Sunrise Park Resort is a recreational paradise offering a wide range of fun and excitement. With 3 mountains of skiing and 65 downhill runs, the resort promises an adventure for skiers of any level. There is also a separate snowboarding area, cross country trails and children's ski area.
