Coronado National Monument
Coronado National Monument commemorates the first major exploration of the American Southwest by Europeans. This is the spot where Coronado's Expedition first entered the present U.S. in search of the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola in 1540. The Memorial encompasses 4,750 acres of mostly oak woodland, a natural mountain habitat at an elevation about 5,000 feet where a variety of plants and animals can be found. Fort Huachuca Museum
Fort Huachuca Museum gives visitors a chance to see a great piece of U.S. Army history. These historical buildings were all built between 1880 and 1905. The museum building, first used as a bachelor officers' quarters, stands at one corner of Brown Parade Field, lined on one side by the Victorian-style officer quarters and on the other by the barracks for the enlisted men. The museum relives the Apache wars, Pershing's Expedition and the fort's role in World War II training. Call 520-533-5736 for more information.

Ramsey Canyon Preserve
A bird watchers paradise. Ramsey Canyon Preserve is known as "hummingbird capital of the United States." Fourteen species can be found here along with about 135 other bird species, making this peaceful oasis one of the best bird watching spots in the world.
